2 small baguetes
300ml / 1/2 pint / 1 1/4 cups tomato sauce
75gr / 3 oz Lean sliced cooked ham
4 canned pineapple rings, drained and chopped
1/2 small green pepper, seeded and cut into this strips
50gr / 2 oz reduce fat mature Cheddar cheese
Salt and Black pepper
Method:
Preheat the oven to 200ºC / 400º F / Gas 6. Cut the baguettes in half legnhtways and
toast the cut sides until crisp and golden.
Spread the tomato sauce over the toasted baguettes.
Cut the ham into strips and lay on the baguettes with the pineapple and the green pepper. Season to
taste with salt and pepper.
Grate the cheese and sprinkle on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crisp.
