4 medium Tuna steaks, cut in halves
1 large onion, cut into rings
1 yellow bell pepper dee-seed and cut into strings
1 red bell pepper, dee-seed and cut into strings
2 garlic cloves, chopped
3 tomatoes diced
200gr chopped tomatoes
200gr olives pitted
1 large lemon cut into slices
3 large cooking potatoes
olive oil, salt and fresh ground black pepper |

Remove the skin from the potatoes and cut into thin slices, add the potatoes into a pan of
boiling salted water and cook for about 5-10 minutes. In a large sauce pan add 2 tbsp of olive oil,
garlic and the onions and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the onion is softened, add the
peppers strings, tomatoes and cook for about 5 minutes stirring well. Add the chopped tomatoes and
season to taste, add 300ml / 1/2 pint of lukewarm water and taste, cook for about 10-15 minutes in
low heat. Remove from the heat and reserve.
Pre heat the oven to 220ÂșC, in a oven proof baking dish, add 3 tbsp of olive oil and spread
evenly, distribute the potatoes to cover the bottom of the baking dish completely. Pour the sauce
over the potatoes and add the olives on top.
To the final touch, put tuna between the slices of lemon, sprinkle fresh black grounded pepper
over the tuna and take to the oven for about 20 minutes for medium or 30 minutes for well done
tuna.
